Pets are members of the family, and in an emergency your first actions can save their life. The programme teaches you to provide immediate, temporary care to dogs and cats until you reach the vet.

The programme
It is aimed at pet owners, pet sitters, breeders, groomers and anyone who cares for animals. No prior knowledge is required.
Topics include: safely approaching and restraining an injured animal, choking, bleeding control and bite wounds, CPR on a dog and cat, burns, poisoning, and preparation for emergencies.

Emergency Care & Safety Institute
ECSI (Emergency Care & Safety Institute) is an international organisation for training in first aid, CPR and safety, with more than 150,000 trainees every year worldwide. Its programmes are developed in partnership with two of the most reputable medical organisations, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), which provide the medical direction and stand behind the training content. Its certifications are internationally recognised.

Do I need any prior knowledge?
For most programmes, no — they start from zero. Where a prerequisite exists, the programme itself says so: the Basic Instructor Course, for example, requires an active ERC BLS or PBLS certification.
The programme I want has no scheduled session. What do I do?

Do you train schools and groups?
Yes. We offer free training to schools of every level and to the community, and through the Double Score programme a school can earn a free defibrillator. For a training at your own venue, write to us at info@lifesupporthub.edu.gr.
