The programme
What is C-TECC for First Responders?
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) transfers the military lessons (TCCC) into the civilian sector. The "First Responders with Duty to Act" module is designed for professionals who have a duty to intervene (Police, Fire Service, Coast Guard, rescuers), often before specialist medical help arrives.
Why is this training essential?
In incidents such as active threats, explosions or mass casualties, traditional first aid is not enough. The seminar teaches how you save lives while the threat is still active, through the three phases of care:
- Direct Threat Care (Hot Zone): care under direct threat.
- Indirect Threat Care (Warm Zone): care in a relatively safe environment.
- Evacuation Care (Cold Zone): care during evacuation.
What you will learn
The seminar is highly practical (hands-on) and includes:
- Bleeding control: use of a tourniquet and haemostatic gauze
- Casualty movement: extraction techniques
- Airway management in a tactical environment
- Managing chest trauma: chest seal and recognition of pneumothorax
- The M.A.R.C.H. protocol: the prioritisation of life-saving actions
- Extrication techniques: moving a casualty under pressure
- Stress drills
- Casualty evacuation
- Scenarios in simulated conditions

Certification
Successful participants receive an internationally recognised certification, confirming their ability to operate according to the latest standards of the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care.

The certifying body
Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care
C-TECC (Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) is the committee that develops the guidelines for the medical care of casualties in high-risk civilian environments: active threats, explosions, mass-casualty incidents. It is the transfer of the lessons of military combat casualty care (TCCC) into civilian life, with guidelines based on evidence and international best practice. Life Support Hub is a Recognized Educational Partner of C-TECC.

Do I need any prior knowledge?
For most programmes, no — they start from zero. Where a prerequisite exists, the programme itself says so: the Basic Instructor Course, for example, requires an active ERC BLS or PBLS certification.
Do you train schools and groups?
Yes. We offer free training to schools of every level and to the community, and through the Double Score programme a school can earn a free defibrillator. For a training at your own venue, write to us at info@lifesupporthub.edu.gr.
How does the asynchronous training platform work?
Two programmes — C-TECC for First Responders and ECSI Wilderness First Aid — include an asynchronous component on our training platform. After registering you receive an email with your login details, and the platform holds your material and programme instructions.
