C‑TECC First Responders with Duty to Act (FRDA)

As a Recognized Educational Partner of C‑TECC (Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care), Life Support Hub provides training in Emergency Trauma Care in a Tactical Environment for those whose duty is to respond first in high-threat environments.

What is Emergency Trauma Care in a Tactical Environment (TECC)?

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care transfers the lessons of military combat casualty care (TCCC) into the civilian sector, with guidelines regularly updated by C‑TECC itself. This is not classic first aid — it is training in how to save lives while the threat is still active.

Who is it for?

The "First Responders with Duty to Act" programme is aimed at professionals with a duty to intervene: Police, Fire Service, Coast Guard, rescuers and security personnel — those who often arrive first at an incident, before specialist healthcare help arrives.

What you will learn

The training follows the three phases of TECC care — Direct Threat Care (Hot Zone), Indirect Threat Care (Warm Zone) and Evacuation Care (Cold Zone) — and covers bleeding control with tourniquets and haemostatic gauze, airway management in a tactical environment, managing chest trauma, the M.A.R.C.H. protocol, extrication techniques and stress-drill simulation scenarios.

Why attend

In incidents such as active threats, explosions or mass casualties, managing a casualty under active threat calls for a different mindset than traditional first aid. If your profession brings you close to such situations, this first aid training for police and fire services is designed specifically for you.

"Preparation is not fear, it is responsibility."
